A "Part Default" is a template you create with data that is common for a particular type of part.

Whenever you create a new part record, you will be able to choose from the Defaults you have created so many fields will already be filled in.

Examples of Part Defaults could be "Used Part", "New Part", "Aftermarket Part", "Rebuilt Part", "Farmall", "Caterpillar".

To create Part Defaults, in the Menu Pane (left pane), select Administration, Configuration, Parts, Defaults.  Click the +Create button to create new Default.

Click on an existing Default and click the Edit or Delete button in the bottom half of the screen to edit the Default or delete the Default.
